Sunday she attended the Coming-of-Age Day ceremony held by the old students of her junior high school. After that she joined its party at night and spent all night with her friends. She had a little sleep, so she looked tired. 日曜日には中学校の卒業生が主催した成人式に参加した。そのあと、夜のパーティいにでかけオールナイトで友達とすごした。少ししか眠っていないので、彼女は疲れた顔をしていた。
She was the only girl in kimono in TK department store at that time of the Monday. The second Monday of January is the Coming-of-Age Day. She was absent from Monday's Coming-of-Age Day ceremony. Many ceremonies were held in each district of the city at that time. 月曜日のその時間帯には着物姿の女の子はTK百貨店の中では彼女一人だった。一月の第二月曜日は成人の日。月曜日の成人式は行かなかった。このころは町のいたるところで成人式がとりおこなわれていた。
She was sleepy because of Sunday's all night party, but window shopping waked her up. How young she is! On the fifth floor there are a lot of small shops that sell their own fashion brands for young girls. I had never visited this kind of shops. Salespeople were young and looked nice and handsome. I don't know why. Their fashion was good, or their makeup was great, or all young people looked cute just because I got old enough. 日曜日のパーティのせいで彼女は眠そうだった。でもウィンドショッピングになると息を吹き返した。やっぱ若い！五階は若い女性向けのファッション・ブランドの小さな店がたくさんある。私はこの手の店にはいったことがなかった。店員は皆、若くて、かっこよかった。なぜだかわからないけど、彼女、彼らのファッションがいかしていたのか、化粧がうまいのか、可愛く見えるのは、こちらが年をくっているからか。
