Here is another English version of Shima Uta. I wrote down the words from Youtube. Greg Irwin is singing Shima Uta in English. His English version doesn't have Deigo and Uuji no mori but general idea was nicely translated.

・THE BOOMのボーカルの宮沢和史さんが「島唄」を作詞・作曲した。彼は沖縄の人ではなく、東京の人だった。　沖縄戦の悲惨さを歌った唄であることを初めて知った。
Actually, I wasn't sure that I had the right to sing a song with such a delicate topic, as I'm Japanese, and no Okinawan musicians had done that.

・ひめゆり部隊の生き残りの女性から話を聞いた宮沢さんが、感動して曲を作った。
Eventually they died in the caves. I heard this story from a woman who was one of these girls and who survived. I was still thinking about how terrible it was after I left the museum. Sugar canes were waving in the wind outside the museum when I left and it inspired me to write a song.

Such An Explorer

It was the success of Shima Uta in 1993 that changed Miyazawa and The Boom forever. “I went to Okinawa to take some photos for The Boom's third album , to a very beautiful and natural area called Yanbaru and for the first time saw a deeper side of Okinawa. I saw some remains of the war there and visited the Himeyuri Peace and Memorial Museum and learnt about the female students who became like voluntary nurses looking after injured soldiers. There were no places to escape from the US army in Okinawa, so they had to find underground caves. Although they hid from the US army, they knew they would be searching for them, and thought they would be killed, so they moved form one cave to another. Eventually they died in the caves. I heard this story from a woman who was one of these girls and who survived. I was still thinking about how terrible it was after I left the museum. Sugar canes were waving in the wind outside the museum when I left and it inspired me to write a song. I also thought I wanted to write a song to dedicate to that woman who told me the story. Although there was darkness and sadness in the underground museum, there was a beautiful world outside. This contrast was shocking and inspiring. There are two types of melody in the song Shima Uta, one from Okinawa and the other from Yamato (Japan). I wanted to tell the truth that Okinawa had been sacrificed for the rest of Japan, and Japan had to take responsibility for that. Actually, I wasn't sure that I had the right to sing a song with such a delicate topic, as I'm Japanese, and no Okinawan musicians had done that. Although Hosono started to embrace Okinawan music into his own music early on, it was in a different way to what I was trying to do. Then I asked Shokichi Kina what he thought I should do about Shima Uta and he said that I should sing it. He told me that Okinawan people are trying to break down the wall between them and Yamato (mainland) Japanese, so he told me I should do the same and encouraged me to release Shima Uta."

Father's condition is stable, no problem at all. Only value of PSA began to rise to about 60 again. Doctor said it's not so good. Need to change the kind of medication. He became  very nervus. He is afraid of its side effect, unexpected trouble in health. He almost lost passion for life. Less appetite, less active in daily life.  What can I do for him?

And thinking of myself, can I keep up my sprits at the end of life?

Time March 22, 2010   The determined-to-change-your-mind current show at the Los Angeles Country Museum of Art (LACMA) is called "Renoir in the 20th Century." It could just as well have been called "Renoir: The problem Years." Take one look at a painting like Bather Sitting on a Rock, and problem is obvious: cupcakes don't get much more scrumptious than this. Which is another way of saying that whole line of mildly lubricious babes, from the phosphorescent nymphs in Maxfield Parrish to Tinkerbell and the Playboy bunny, owe something to the old man's influential wet dream of calssical form.

Visual Hallucinations
幻視

Visual hallucinations are the most common type of hallucination in dementia. The person may see people, animals or other objects. Sometimes the hallucinations involve quite complicated scenes or bizarre situations.

Visual hallucinations can start with misinterpretations. The person may think they see faces or objects in swirling patterns on fabrics or in the shadows in a room, for instance.

Visual hallucinations often occur in people who have Lewy body dementia. In this type of dementia the person usually has a mixture of the symptoms found in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.

It should therefore only be prescribed in low doses, if at all, and regularly reviewed.

いっぽう、イスラムの国では、女性が職業を持つことはむずかしく、めずらしいらしい。Bahrain空港で無料で手に入るBahrain　＆　Beyondという雑誌には、働く若い女性の記事が毎回（少なくとも２回連続）出てた。

A Day In The Life of Layla Shams, Duty Manager  As a passenger, we often find travelling hectic, and at each airport all we hope for is a few stress-free hours until the next take-off. Usually this includes a stroll through the Duty Free. Although airports are generally dissimilar from the next, what really makes the difference is the staff. Layla Shams began working at Bahrain International Airport 13 years ago. Although she grew up in Bahrain, Layla had previously been working in ticketing with Gulf Air in Abu Dhabi. "Then I came back to Bahrain. At first it was quite hard to find a job, but then I went into Sales at Bahrain International Airport. Within a few months I was promoted to supervisor, then senior supervisor, until a year and half later when I became Duty Manager. This is because my attendance was very good. I believe that attendance and honesty are extremely important at all times."

The doctor suggests that combining a bottle of aspirin and a bottle of vodka was a suicide attempt. This she denies. He recommends a short period of rest at Claymore. Claymoore is a private mental hospital full of noisy, crazy people. Georgina is a pathological liar. Polly has been badly scarred by fire. Daisy won't eat in the presence of other people. Lisa is a sociopath, the biggest exasperation for the staff - like Nurse Valerie - and the biggest influence on the other girls in the hospital. Lisa has a history of escapes, so gaining access to personal medical files is not a problem...
